Laura A. Kelly

Executive Director

Laura brings to Stonebridge of Gurnee over 30 years of vast experience in every facet of Long Term Care. She is an accomplished Illinois Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and a proud member of The Leading Age Supportive Living Cabinet, giving a voice in Springfield and other realms to the residents she serves.

Her experience and leadership has led her career both in Skilled Nursing and Supportive Living. She has opened two other successful Supportive Living Communities in Illinois, one in the urban sector and one in the suburban sector, spanning 13 years of her career.

Taking care of residents of all ages is her passion, and that is what she finds most rewarding about her position. She continually strives to improve the quality of life for all residents while assisting them in overcoming any boundaries they may endure.

In addition to her busy career, she loves to spend time with her family, especially her three beautiful grandchildren.

Michael Schulkins

Activity Director

Michael was born and raised in Vernon Hills, and then moved to Bloomington/Normal where he went to high school and college. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Illinois State University. Michael has a wide variety of job experience including sales, customer service, and event planning. Before coming to Stonebridge, he managed an entertainment related retail store for 5 years where he focused on providing the best customer service possible and a positive working environment for his employees.

He is very excited to work with the residents of Stonebridge of Gurnee and looks forward to coming up with many fun and interesting activities that everyone will enjoy. Michael understands and embraces the challenges that come with working with a diverse population and is committed to creating an activity program that will provide an enjoyable experience for all of our residents.

When he isn’t working, Michael spends his time outdoors camping, hiking, and kayaking. He also enjoys movies, live music of all kinds, and spending time with his family.

Debbie O’Connor

Dining Services Director

Chef  Debbie O’Connor graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree from the School of Culinary Arts at Chicago’s Kendall College in 2004.  She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago.

Debbie advanced her culinary career in the summer of 2004 at Perspectives Charter School undertaking an initiative to create a healthy school nutrition environment for Perspectives students that promotes positive nutrition choices. Part of that initiative included breaking away from the lunch program delivered by the Chicago Public Schools food vendor, designing and building its own kitchen, and staffing the kitchen to prepare healthy nutritious meals. She has been interviewed on both ABC and NBC’s local news regarding this initiative and has been sited as a resource for improving school lunch programs in Morgan Spurlock’s “Don’t Eat this Book”.  She has continued this work in the Healthcare Industry and presently at Stonebridge of Gurnee.

Born and raised in Chicago, Debbie, her husband and two children, reside in Evanston, IL. She of course…enjoys cooking with her family and creating new recipes and spice mixes.

Bob Partlow

Maintenance Director

Bob has lived in the Gurnee area for 22 years with his wife and three children. Bob has worked in maintenance for the last 6 years specifically in the healthcare industry for the last 4 years. Prior to that, he worked in the construction industry as a mason contractor for 23 years. He has built many buildings in the Chicagoland area. Bob enjoys getting to know residents while providing a safe, well maintained place for them to call home. When not working, you will find Bob on the softball and lacrosse fields watching his children play.

Sheila Clark

Move In Coordinator

Sheila brings to Stonebridge of Gurnee over 15 years of experience in customer service assisting a wide variety of perspective residents in their search with a place to call home. From Market Rate to Low Income Housing Sheila has provided exceptional service to residents to assure a smooth transition with their move-in and move out process. Sheila Is a Certified Occupancy Specialist and Tax Credit Specialist through the National Center for Housing Management.

Sheila has 8 years of experience as a Property Manager servicing Low Income Senior Independent, Project Based and Tax Credit Properties. Helping to provide a place to call home has been her mission over the years. Doing so with, love and compassion for others is her goal.

Outside of work, Sheila enjoys family time with her husband and three children. Her down time hobbies are dancing, singing and journaling.

Tammy Temaner-Rosas

Director of Sales & Marketing

Tammy joins Stonebridge of Gurnee with many years of health care experience. She earned a BS in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois. Tammy’s background over the past 24 years has been in Skilled Nursing & Assisted/Supportive Living. Her experiences have included Director of Social Services, Clinical Liasion/ Counselor, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, & director of Sales & Marketing.

The joy in working with individuals that need assistance that is both affordable and obtainable is what brought her to Stonebridge of Gurnee. Tammy was born and raised in the Lake County area. She is an only child and built a house next door to her parents. She has 2 boys Josh & Jordan. When not working she enjoys sunny “HOT” days outside, “DIY” (do it yourself) projects, and playing with the 7 lb family dog“BEAR”.

Shari Shaver

Director of Social Services

Shari is a compassionate and ethical professional with experience in social services and the medical field. She has spent the last 17 years in the housing industry with at risk populations. Shari holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and is a credentialed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Illinois. Shari currently is working on her Masters degree in Human and Social Services. Shari specializes in serving people with all disabilities. She utilizes her skills and training to assist others to gain independence and encourage them to develop their strengths and empower them to advocate for themselves. Stonebridge’s model Safety, Security, Compassion, Love and Dignity is what drew Shari to seeking employment here.

As a mother and grandmother, Shari is a true problem solver and has taken her passion for helping others to focusing on those in crisis. Shari is also the Co-Founder of a ministry that assists families in McHenry and Lake Counties.

In her spare time, Shari enjoys spending time with her family which includes 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, bike riding, and sitting by the lake.
